Domestic Helpers from the Philippines: A New Breed of Superheroes

February 2nd, 2009

There is no question to the capacity of domestic helpers from the Philippines. They have earned both a source of living and the admiration of a lot of people around the world. Through their resilience, dedication to duty, and loyalty to their employers, they were able to give a better life to their families.

The pay for domestic helpers in other countries is much higher compared to the salary they would otherwise be receiving in their own country. In the Philippines, a domestic helper who is basically new in the field can earn as much as only $20.00 a month. Those with more experience can earn around $30.00 to roughly just $40.00 a month.

Also, Filipina maids can speak English better than their counterparts from other countries. They can be easily trained, and are fast learners of any foreign language. These qualities of Filipina maids give them the edge when it comes to employment opportunities.

But what pushes a Filipina from leaving her country and working abroad? To think of leaving your country and serve strangers in other countries is martyrdom. To abandon your family and not seeing your children grow is very sad. But they have an option. Most domestic helpers from the Philippines are sole breadwinners of their families. And to stay working abroad ensures their family of stability, at least in financial terms.

Further, they are found to be full of life and bursting with enthusiasm, even if they are assigned to do some dirty jobs. They seldom ever complain, and they can work for very long hours from dawn to midnight. Moreover, they can do a multitude of tasks, from babysitting, caregiving, cooking, and doing household chores. Because of these traits, they are very much admired not only by their foreign employers, but by almost everyone around the world.

Another skill that these domestic helpers from the Philippines have is their ability to communicate in English. They can speak and understand English fairly better than maids from other countries. For this reason, communicating with their foreign employers does not become a hindrance to the quality of service that they render.

Another reason why Filipinas are preferred is their ability to communicate well in English. They are also fast learners with the language their employers speak. Unlike the Chinese, Mexicans, and Indians, they speak more fluent and understand their employer’s instruction better because they know their language.

In the United States and elsewhere, there is a seemingly huge demand for domestic helpers from the Philippines. Filipina maids have sterling records when it comes to their dedication and quality of work, and these records have remained unstained up to this very day.

Business For Sale Advice

February 1st, 2009

Entrepreneurship doesn’t come without risks, and the needs to increase the security of the investment is to get proof that the business for sale that you wish to purchase is operational and profitable. There is a price to pay when you make a buy a successful business for sale, the costs are a lot higher than if the company would have been on the verge of bankruptcy. Furthermore, you’d pay more money when purchasing a business than you’d need to begin one. There are very complex issues behind the merger or the taking over of one company by another one and all need to be cover in detail so that no problems may appear later.

Before searching for any business for sale, it is essential to know what you want. How experienced are you in that business? Will you devote all of your time to the business? Can you be totally committed to it? How cool-tempered are you in difficult situations? Can you handle the financial risk that comes with the purchase of a business for sale ? Analyze all the arguments for and against the purchase and even ask for some expert opinion. Some people want to find a business for sale to practice a hobby when they are retired, others try to eliminate competition or increase prestige and last but not least, numerous entrepreneurs look for an opportunity to get in control of their destiny.

The next step to take is to check several sources where you can find a good business for sale. Relocation could be an issue here, in case the business activity is located in a different area away from your home; therefore make sure to count this factor among the overall decision influencing elements. The first place to look for a business is in newspaper classified ads that are present in most local and metropolitan broadsheets.

Another viable source of info comes from brokerage newsletters and all sorts of publications. If you want a professional opinion for the purchase of a business, then brokers are the specialists to talk to. Sometimes, if the entrepreneur is not satisfied with anything in the offer, other brokerage agencies are contacted. In fact there is nothing new in the circulation of business listings among brokers.

In Conclusion, I would like to thank you for reading this article and i hope it was useful information.

Questions About Shaklee, Anything Negative about Shaklee? Review

February 1st, 2009

Ok, so we are going to review how Shaklee operates, the products and how you make money within their system.

Shaklee has been around since around 1960 and was one of the united states first MLM (Multi Level Marketing) companies.

Shaklee has been an outspoken advocate for the MLM business structure for some time now.

Although Shaklee is fairly diversified across product categories, the majority of their sales come from household cleaning products and nutritional supplement. Some new up and comers in the line include weight loss supplements and skin care.

It will not come as a surprise that they still operate in that same MLM structure that they did back in the day.

You recruit people to work underneath you, often friends and family. You attend hotel meetings and seminars and hold product parties to promote your business and again try to recruit additional people into said business.

If that sounds appealing to you then Shaklee may be a good choice. Also know, that in their pay structure, you will need nearly thousands of people underneath you to earn a six figure income.

I would not feel comfortable in a business structure where almost 90% of their distributors leave within the first 90 days, but that is just me. I feel like they could update their business model for the new century.

So what did we learn? Shaklee is not a scam, it is legitimate. On the flip side, it may not be the best way to financial freedom that they claim. Do you research and good luck!

Government KSA Writing Basics

February 1st, 2009

KSA’s stand for Knowledge, Skills and abilities and are narrative essays that are requested, along government resumes, for Federal job applications. KSA’s are mandatory and essential being, in some cases, more determinant than a resume to land you a job.

Here is what KSA means: Knowledge refers to an organized body of information usually of a factual or procedural nature. Skills refer to the mental, manual or verbal manipulation of data, things or people. Abilities refer to the ability to perform a mental or physical activity at the present time.

KSA’s are usually composed of 3 to 5 questions that must be answered with essays written in the first person. The goal of KSA’s is to show that you are a good match for the job. You can use examples from your work history, education, activities, trainings and awards as long as they are relevant and ethically correct.

KSA answers are graded from 1 to 10 (or sometimes 20). Your total score should be above the selective factors (minimum requirements) to be eligible for the position. However, getting a higher grade and exceeding quality ranking factors will establish you as a top candidate.

In terms of KSA format, your KSA answers shouldn’t be longer than one page and should include, in order, the job title, the announcement number, the applicant’s name, the KSA number and then the essay itself.

Because KSA statements are so important, you should make sure to deliver the best answers possible. Before you start writing your KSA’s, it is a good idea to take some time to brainstorm to find elements from your experience and education that perfectly match what recruiters are looking for.

Also, when it comes to writing, be clear, concise, proactive and very detailed, to make it easy for the government recruiter to see you are a good fit for the position. Of course, avoid any typos and ensure the grammar is correct. Once you first draft is ready, wait 24 hours and review it. You can also ask a relative to have a look at it.

Writing KSA answers requires being a good writer. If you’re not sure you can prepare flawless KSA answers, don’t risk jeopardizing your career. It is recommended to get professional KSA writers to prepare your KSA’s, as not only they have years of experience writing top-scoring KSA answers but they are also aware of the latest Federal government hiring guidelines.

Don’t Let Fear Kill Your Online Business

January 31st, 2009

When people first start their own business, sometime they procrastinate in starting the process because of the fear. Usually the fear is that they just don’t know how to do it, or where to even start.

I list some frequently asked questions that most newbies have in the getting started process.

1. “Do I have to have special skills or degrees to start my own business?”

College degrees and experience are always helpful in gaining expertise in a field, but you usually don’t have to have any degrees to have your own online business.

If you plan to offer some services such like web designing etc… You should have some skills in that area before trying to start your business. Obtain some sufficient basic information of your potential business to get your hands on that deals with your field will more important.

2. “Will it cost a lot of money?”

Starting your own online business doesn’t generally cost much money. The money you put into it is mostly for a computer, internet access and a website.

If you plan to sell a service, like web designing, software programs will need to be added to your list of tools to purchase. Businesses where you will sell items you’ve created, will take some money to stock the inventory items, but there are great deals on the internet to be found for this purpose.

3. “Does online business require the experience of running my own business?”

The internet, itself, holds a plethora of information at your fingertips to help you learn every aspect of the business you want to start. You don’t need any previous business experience, you can find tips, tricks and all sorts of information from people who’ve been there and done it, so utilize this resource to gain the power that knowledge will bring you.

4. “Can I make a lot of money from an online business?”

What business you start, how much time and effort you put into it and the return of investment on what youre offering; all play a part in what you will essentially make. You can make the same amount a full time fast food worker generally makes to a six figure income.

5. “Do I really need a website?”

If you have your own service or products to offer, a website will be needed. If you just sell other people’s products; you can become an affiliate without any website and making a decent income online. Again, it depends on what business you will be in.

6. “Do I need special business licenses to run an online business?”

The best thing to do is to check with your local government agencies to determine what you will need in your area. Each area is different, so its best to check and see what you need before starting your business.

7. “How do I deal with the payments and refunds?”

If youre selling items, you will want to use an online payment system like PayPal or ClickBank. These programs will take of the whole payment process for you including refunds. Shopping cart software a lot of times will come with a web building program, so take advantage of that option.

The best answer to all these questions is action. Get your business up and running, don’t miss out this enriching experience.

How To Recognise Internet Business Scams?

January 30th, 2009

Now maybe you’ve seen an ad somewhere, or you’ve been approached by someone about a great work-from-home money-making opportunity, and you’re excited, thinking finally you can quit your job!

Be aware that at least 99% of the internet business offers out there are scams - after all, if it was that easy to pay a few dollars and make thousands, wouldn’t everybody be doing it by now? Here are the biggest scams out there, how to identify them, and how to avoid them.

Searching as much online business information as you can, the more informed you are about internet scams, the more confident you will be. Don’t let someone take advantage of you, take the upper hand and be in control of your business future.

Here are some of the popular statements made by most of the internet frauds and the truth behind them:

Making Money Overnight! - These scams promise you a way of making money while you sleep. They make it sound like there is little work involved to obtaining this.

Most online businesses will take a little time to get up and running, but will be worth your effort in the end. So it’s certainly possible to achieve wealth, but it will take hard work and much dedication to be able to make this claim.

Turn your Computer into a Money Making Cash Machine! - Actually, there are a lot of statements that start off with this kind of sales pitch.

Be careful of a sales pitch that starts off this way, although the declaration itself could be true sometimes. Most online business opportunities sell the business itself. To the scammer they’re making money off people paying them for what they say they will give you. They tend to sell the money making benefit. Usually, in that case, there really is no business- to you that is.

Start your business absolutely free- No money involved! - They push the fact that you can get a business going with absolutely no money in start -up fees.

There will be some costs to start up a business, but very rarely do they ever break the bank. But this type of scam will scream the no money involved statement, but then turn around and ask you to pay them a certain amount for information on how to get a business started for free.

Start Earning a Living from Typing at Home! - This statement is similar to a lot of others plastered on the internet claiming that you can start a business from home with your typing or in some cases, data entry skills.

Yes, you can earn money typing or performing data entry from home, but not with these guys. You’re better off offering these services to clients yourself and avoid paying the scammers for the information on how to do it. You can find out how to do it -with your own research for Free!

Be aware of your options and be confident to research any opportunity you don’t feel comfortable with. These are just some ideas on how those frauds work and who they like to prey upon, there are many more scam opportunities out there.

Wish your home based online business success![I:http://tresoryakro.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/HMagill1.jpg]

Changing Careers in Uncertain Times

January 30th, 2009

Every now and then we can sometimes get the urge to to change our job. The routines become boring, the work is unfulfilled or the atmosphere is depressing, epically on a dank Monday morning. You may also feel that the time is right to freshen your abilities and skill. But a career choice may not be for everyone.

It is very important to consider all the options before choosing to change your line of work. This may well be one of the biggest decisions you will make in your life and in these times it is even more important to choose carefully. If you are having doubts about these choices, then here are a few tips to help you make the correct choice.[I:http://tresoryakro.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/EdMurranio0.jpg]

Point out your priorities: Your priorities are your main reference point not only for your jobs and careers, but also for your life itself. Re-evaluate what you really want to do in your own life. Do you want a job that will enable you to use the skills that you are good at?

How well does the job pay? This is always a bottom line judgement. Take a note of everything that you want to achieve for yourself and family and take heed of their advice. Friends and family have a habit of seeing the good or bad in your decisions.

Evaluate your skills: If there is anyone in this world who really knows what you are good at, it is no other than yourself. If you want to transfer to another company or you want to have another line of work, it is very important for you to assess your skills.

Have a look at the skills you have developed in your present employment. Will you be able to use these skills in your new job, or will you have to develop your experience even more before you take the plunge?

Where would you like to go: After considering your experience, skills and capabilities, you can start to discover why it is you really want to leave your job in the first place. Were you not given the opportunity to grow in your job or develop your skills?

Do you want to have an entirely new job that does not have any similarity with the one that you had before? These are very important things to consider so as you would not feel aimless once you get out of your previous work.

Look for dream job Switching jobs requires that you have a good idea of the type of career you want to be in. You should never switch jobs for the sake of it or just for a change. Discover within yourself the changes you would like in your career by evaluating the job your in now and the consequences of moving. Be sure before you change careers that the choice you make is sound given your circumstances.

Is Mona Vie a Scam? Want to Hear Mona Vie Complaints. Read Review

January 27th, 2009

So what is mona vie and is mona vie a scam. What are the major mona vie complaints out there today? This review will cover these questions and others.

Mona vie is a health supplement drink derived from the Acai berry. The drink is supposed to have healing properties and boost the immune system.

The company was started by Daillin Larsen who has a background in direct sales. He started Mona vie to establish a health product that set itself apart from others in this growing industry.

The drink itself is on the high side of the price spectrum, costing $45 a bottle or $180 for a months supply.

The compensation plan is similar to that of any MLM business in that you make money off of the people you recruit.

As in other structures, most distributors leave the business within 90 days. They choose to leave rather than losing money as they are not able to bring in enough people to turn a profit. The product also has a licensing cost which may be a deterrent to a lot of distributors.

In conclusion, Mona vie is a legitimate company. That being said you now have to determine if it is the right business for you. They have a quality product, but it is priced fairly high, they have an upfront distributor fee and 90% of distributors who join leave within 90days.

All that being said, you can still make a lot of money with the right company, its just up to you to find the right fit.
