A Conservative View on Brainwashing in Public Schools

February 2nd, 2009

Can you imagine a video of grade school children singing Obama’s campaign slogans during the last presidential campaign? Even after the election, we see more evidences where teachers in public schools are brainwashing our youth with liberal messages. We have seen many examples that this brainwashing is happening, from young children being embarrassed in front of their friends when saying something conservative, to college students fearing their grades will be lowered if they dare to state a conservative concern.

To illustrate, before the election, a public school teacher asked her class to wear blue to support Obama on the Tuesday prior to the election. Since she did not ask Republican children to wear Red for McCain, she had no right to do this.

The most shocking, on the news of 10/7/08, a militant-looking group of middle school boys were shown on another video, dressed in black uniforms with an Obama logo on their shirts. They were doing a military-like exercise of marching while displaying clinched fists and other confrontational gestures, and singing praises to Obama. There was an Obama sign in the background. They obviously had practiced this routine many times, all this done in a public school, using class time, and the services of a teacher with salary paid for by taxpayers. Apparently, the American public never objected using their taxes for this purposes.

Indoctrination America’s young people in liberalism without allowing the conservative aspect to be presented should be the number the one educational issue in America today. How so? Because we are forgetting the lessons of the past. Think of Hitler’s Youth. At the age of ten, boys were initiated into Hitler’s Youth for education in bodily and martial arts. Hating Jews and the superiority of the Germanic race was Hitler’s goals, and the boys were taught to detect and tell any questionable behavior of their parents, which often resulted in the German Gestapo arresting their parents. Schoolgirls had similar training. This youthful programming was successful. The backbone of the German Army in World War II consisted of Hitler’s Youth, a compliant army who could not think for themselves, and who did not question what they had been taught.

Obama is not, however, the main point I am stressing in this educational problem. Obama’s campaign just gave prime examples of indoctrination.

Why am I concerned? Viewpoints of liberal philosophy are presented over that of the conservative values more and more often, resulting in that children in America are taught one side only, usually that of the liberals. Out of control political correctness is a fundamental element of liberal indoctrination. Students who have the courage to state the conservative side of an issue are branded with names like sexists, homophobes, or racists. Conservative students not only face humiliation before their peers, but they also now have a label that can be very damaging. Students usually just keep quiet rather than face this type of censure.

It is of extreme importance that all sides of ideology are taught in the classroom. Conservative taxpayers must become informed of any kind of one-sided dogma taught without other side’s also being taught, if done in public schools with public funds.

From preschool through state supported colleges and universities, Conservatives must become more involved in what our schools are teaching. Brainwashing just the liberal side of an issue in public schools must stop. Please give me your opinion on this timely educational matter.

Resource For Free Christmas Coloring Pages ” And a Christmas Fact

January 25th, 2009

I am willing to bet that you are one of those rare individuals who normally think out side the box. Allow me to ask you a quick question Have you ever wondered about the history of Christmas? Have you wondered what it was like? Have you ever wondered how the happy holiday came about? Well no need to wonder my friend I am about to reveal a little fact that will knock your socks off.

It would be virtually impossible for me to tell the whole story in one article. However I will give you a few facts that most human beings do not know. At your next family gathering you are sure to be the hit of the party (or maybe not).

Lets take a little trip to what I like to call Christmas past. We will travel all the way back to the early 17th century. Im talking about a time when a wave of religious change, the holiday known, as Christmas would be forever changed in the land of Europe. When a guy by the name of Oliver Cromwell and his puritan followers invaded England in 1645, they vowed to rid England of decadence, which lead to the cancellation of Christmas. Eventually Charles II was restored to the throne, so was Christmas.

Stay with me Things are just starting to get good!

America would be forever changed when a group of pilgrims, English separatists landed in 1620. These groups of people were even more orthodox in their puritan beliefs than Cromwell. Needless to say Christmas was not the jovial holiday that was celebrated in the early days of America. In fact from 1659 to 1681, the act of celebrating Christmas was actually illegal in Boston. The powers that be had mad it illegal for any one to celebrate Christmas. The holiday was actually illegal in Boston. If caught celebrating you were fined five shillings.

I cannot help but wonder what it was like to live during such a controversial time. Could you imagine what it would be like today if you had to sneak and celebrate Christmas? Really take a few minutes and put yourself in the moment. Imagine leaving the mall with a few gifts for the kids and the police would stop you and search your bags. I dont know about you, but I would be mortified because Christmas is my favorite holiday out of the year.

Any way this nonsense continued until after the American Revolution when English customs began to fall out of favor, this included Christmas. Another thing that is a little hard to believe is that Congress was actually in session on December 25, 1789, the first Christmas under Americas new constitution. The fact of the matter is Christmas wasnt declared a federal holiday until June 26, 1870.

I hope that you have enjoyed this article. Please do a search or check back for the rest of my Christmas fact articles. If you are a parent and or teacher visit my library of free Christmas coloring pages ” you will find the link below. While you are there take the time to look at the other categories of free stuff for your kids.

More Information on Eleanor Rigby

January 24th, 2009

Eleanor Rigby, the story so far.

Many of you reading this will know that some months ago, after playing a few gigs in Liverpool, I was shown by a local guide a tombstone in a churchyard which had the inscription to Eleanor Rigby.

This certainly got me interested and I spent a little time trying to find out about the person whose name was on the headstone, and about the other people mentioned there also.

I did indeed find out some information and I wrote an article about my findings. If you would like to read a copy of this article then please go to my website mentioned at the bottom of this article, and there you will find my email address and you can simply email me and request a copy.

If you remember, in that first article which I wrote I said that as and when I came across new information I would write again, and that is the reason for this article today.

But just before I get into that, I am aware that some new readers may not be with me here, so let me give you a few verses of the song Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles.

Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been Lives in a dream Waits at the window wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door Who is it for

All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong

Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear No one comes near Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there’s nobody there What does he care?

I am sure that you can remember that great song.

So, returning to our story, soon after my first article was written I heard about a most interesting auction which was due to take place in the UK.

What happened was that a charity in the UK wrote to Paul asking for a donation, the sort of thing which charities do all the time.

This charity did not hear back from Paul McCartney for 9 months, and then, right out of the blue, they received a letter which included a document.

The document was a Liverpool City Hospital salary register, showing the signature of an E. Rigby.

Eleanor Rigby apparently worked there as a scullery maid and the custom was to sign for your monthly salary.

It was not a very well paid job, she just received 14 pounds per month which even in 1911 was quite low.

So what does this document tell us. It gives us proof of the existence of one Eleanor Rigby, the woman who died alone with no one to mourn her.

Well I have more to say on this, and more research to carry out, so if you would like to be kept updated then please go to my website where you will find my email address. Simply send me a message asking to be kept updated.

Dig Into Anyone’s Past With This Personal Background Check Method

January 20th, 2009

At various points, you might have thought about checking up on the past of someone you know. You may have started dating someone new and want to find out more about them, or you’d like to check up on the background of a job applicant. Fortunately, online background checks make this easier than ever to do.

For a long time, the best and often only way to get a background check done was hiring an investigator or using a detective agency. This was expensive, took a lot of time, and wasn’t always reliable.

Fortunately, it’s not much easier to do. The Internet make finding background information on just about anyone easy and fast, and anyone who has an Internet connection can do it.

Companies have set up enormous databases of information about the backgrounds of almost everyone. These professionals have found out all publicly available data. If you need to find out about someone, all you need to do is run a search through the database and see what you turn up.

You’ll get a lot of information when you run online background checks, from marriage records and employment history to criminal records, address history and more. You’ll be amazed by how much is available about a particular person.

You’ll be charged for this service, of course. However, the good news is that it won’t cost much. In fact, a simple membership fee will allow you to have unlimited background check access - just pay once and get all the access you need.

There’s a quick way to find out if information is available without paying, of course. Just head to Google or another search engine. Type the person’s name in quotation markes, and if you know what city they live in, include this as well. Hit search and see what kind of results you get.

For most people, this isn’t a good way to get much in the way of results, but it does work sometimes. If anyone has published any information about the person on the Internet, Google will be able to find it.

In just a few minutes, an online background check could allow you to find out about the past of any person at all. This is a great tool for anyone to have, and can be incredibly useful.

Enjoy the Homes of Presidents from a Virginia Bed and Breakfast

January 14th, 2009

You may not be able to secure a spot in front of the podium on inauguration day, but you can plan a presidential getaway. Spend a few days in Virginia and you can visit the homes of four of our first five presidents. And if you want to soak up even more Americana, don’t forget to book a stay at a historic bed and breakfast.

More presidents have hailed from Virginia than any other state, and most of them are conveniently located near each other. In fact President Jefferson’s magnificent Monticello is just a few minutes from President James Monroe’s gracious home Ash Lawn-Highland. Both homes are open to the public for tours. During the warmer seasons, the garden and plantation tours at Monticello are not to be missed.

James Madison’s Montpelier is a mere half-hour from Jefferson and Monroe’s homes, and Woodrow Wilson’s home also is within an hour’s drive of the others. George Washington’s estate, Mount Vernon, about two hours from Jefferson’s home, rests in the Alexandria countryside.

The village of Orange and the historic Holladay House Bed and Breakfast serve as the perfect home base for your presidential getaway. The town and this Virginia inn are just a few miles from James Madison’s home, and less than 30 miles from the homes of Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. Orange is also only about a two-hour’s drive from the D.C. area and George Washington’s home Mount Vernon. In addition to these historic sites, there are plenty of wineries to enjoy, and the Holladay House is within walking distance to several popular restaurants.

The guest rooms at the Holladay House are decorated with antiques, and the queen and king beds are topped with the finest linens. Some rooms include a fireplace or double whirlpool tub, and all bathrooms are stocked with specialty hypoallergenic bath products. The innkeepers pamper guests with a full breakfast and offer coffee, tea and home baked goodies throughout the day.

To celebrate Senator Obama’s transition into President Obama, the innkeepers at the Holladay House are offering a special presidential discount. If you stay at the inn three nights during the Inauguration, you receive your third night at half the price. So you can enjoy all of the presidential fun for less. The innkeepers also offer discount tickets to Montpelier, as well as a discount Presidents’ Pass that includes visits to Monticello, Ash Lawn-Highland and the Michie Tavern, a historic Colonial-era tavern.

For a truly patriotic vacation, consider one of the inn’s special presidential packages. The “Bill of Rights” package includes a two-night stay at the inn, full breakfast each morning, and two tickets or passes to Montpelier, Monticello and Ash-Lawn Highland, as well as maps and driving directions. In addition, the innkeepers will send you off with a stocked picnic basket filled with cheese, crackers, fruit, sparkling water and dessert. Freshly baked cookies and beverages will be waiting for you at the inn after you return from your adventure. The “Constitution Package,” includes the aforementioned goodies, but upgrades your room choice to one of the inn’s luxury suites, which include a double whirlpool tub, king-size bed and private porch.

Queensboro Motorcycle Club Annual Motorcycle Rodeo

January 13th, 2009

Queensboro Motorcycle Club has been around for over 98 years! That’s right I said over 98 years, That’s not only a long time for a Motorcycle Club, that’s a long time for anything!

OK Lets stop and think about this for a minute, The first (gas-engined) Motorcycle was invented in 1885. (Of course some consider the first Motorcycle invented to be the two-cylinder, steam-engine motorcycle powered by coal invented in 1867 by American, Sylvester Howard Roper) Harley Davidson who started in 1903 only has 7 years on Queensboro MC!

This MC has been around since the infancy of the Motorcycle culture. Now I have only known Queensboro MC for about 8 of those 97 years but I can tell you over 97 years this group of Bikers have made many friends in and outside of the Motorcycle world! Their annual Motorcycle Rodeo Held each year at a local Park shows not only how many friends they have made but also how 98 years can teach you how to throw a great party.Just one look at the parking lot at the Rodeo shows you the wide diversity of their Friends,With Motorcycles from Harley to Honda, Ninja to Norton and so many others in between. Now you don’t need a Motorcycle to be part of the FOQ (Friends of Queensboro)Crew and some of their many friends showed up in cars to enjoy the perfect Summer day!

The Event starts with sign up at Rolling Thunder in Hempstead and a Scenic ride over to the Rodeo. Once at the Rodeo there are of course plenty of great Motorcycle Events to enter,None of them more memorable then the Port-a-Potty pull ! If you need to ask what a Port-a-Potty pull is, Well all I can say is your just going to have to show up at next years Rodeo! The Event also has many great Vendors,Food and Beverages, a D.J., Children’s events, a Bike Show and many games you don’t need a Motorcycle to play, Such as the Hilarious game “Shoot the Biker Freak”. The Final event of the day is always the Tug of War !

Queensboro MC’s Motorcycle Rodeo has a permanent mark on my calendar of events to attend every year and a big gold star on it for 2010!!! Check out QueensboroMC.com for info on their many other great Annual events!!!
